I’m pleased to present you with the March-April 2018 issue of the Journal of Global Issues & Solutions.

This issue’s Page One Feature Paper is authored by Bernhard J. Mitterauer, MD, who is a frequent contributor to this Journal. Dr. Mitterauer, Professor of Neuropsychiatry at the Volitronics-Institute, located in Wals, Austria, presents his paper titled “Artificial Intelligence: Robotics: The Principle of Self-Embodiment Architectonic Philosophy of Technique.”  In his introductory overview, Dr. Mitterauer explains that “In the perspective of the present article I will discuss the following: First, my brain model is outlined focusing on subjectivity and qualitative mechanisms of brain function. Then, the elementary brain operations in ontogenetic and evolutionary time scales are discussed. Furthermore, the theory of Transphysics of self-embodiment of human subjectivity in human robots is proposed. This process generates a Third Nature of robot societies”. In the final section of the paper, titled ‘The soul in self-embodiment,” Dr. Mitterauer argues that “humanoid robots existentially differ from their human creators, since robots can never be endowed with a soul in its metaphysical characteristics.” This is an intriguing paper for anyone interested in neurology, robotics and the breakthrough field of Artificial Intelligence.

The following paper, Positive Global Solutions Through Network or General-Consciousness,” is a chapter excerpted from the book titled  “Development of Mankind by Mental Quantum Evolution based on Universal Harmony” by Dr. Jasna Loboda-Cackovic and Dr. Hinko Cackovic, both of whom are Scientists (formerly with the Fritz-Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society in Berlin-Dahlem), Artists and Authors, based in Berlin, Germany. The authors present the premise that “In the present time there is a high potential of an increasing number of harmonic people, in the Network or General-Consciousness, with virtues developed by Mental Quantum Evolution for positive action with love, for harmonization of human life and for positive development of mankind in the future.” They propose that “A network generally is an important attribute of nature. The society mainly splits in two networks, with different levels of activity”, and their paper goes on to support this concept in a particularly fascinating and insightful manner.

Following, Economist Edward Ingram of the Ingram School of Economics, located in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, presents his paper within the topic area of Economics: Innovation: “Why the World Needs a Stable Financial Platform.” Since publishing his last four essays, Mr. Ingram has been rewriting documents which are a part of an online university course in macro-economic design and management. At least two universities in Zimbabwe are putting their expert staff on this course. The idea is to use the information gained to create the world’s leading courses in economics and banking; If these proposals are adopted, by a conservative estimate 1% or more may be added to long-term national economic output.  This overview paper, excerpted from the author’s www.fin24.com, features the pertinent extracts of his concepts.

This issue concludes with Part XI of a special presentation in the topic area of Education: Life & Consciousness, by Naturalistic Philosopher Mr. Iain Kirkaldy-Willis of Spain’s Canary Islands. “The Nature of Thought” is an on-going series of visual presentations. The author explains that “the use of image/text presentations has been chosen as a stimulating, provocative and inspiring format for consciousness raising.  It is an approach that has evolved over the years from a wide variety of applications – as a gardener in Finland, piecing together a holistic agricultural approach to an adult educational community’s land and then making that part of that Folk High School’s curriculum – in use with villagers in the foothills of N. India, as a tool for awareness, healing and empowerment, in the face of socio-environmental collapse – in the designing of courses to meet adult needs for healing and change in the face of different kinds of personal crisis.” Excellent graphics and bright imagery vividly highlight this fascinating visual presentation.
