Mr. Nath has seen life change first-hand, starting during the struggles in the past at the time of India’s Independence and the times of the India-Pakistan Partition, when he peddled his bicycle selling newspapers in the morning and going to school in afternoon. He went on to enroll in morning college courses so that he could study and work toward establishing a professional career; as the years passed his career developed and prospered, and Mr. Nath went on to achieve national and even international recognition. Mr. Nath has been honored as one of the Top Architects of India, winning the Award of Excellence for High End Interiors, and has served on jury panels for various coveted awards. Today, Mr. Nath is recognized as a trendsetter in the joint fields of architecture and interior design.

Although now a professional architect, Prem Nath started his career as strictly an interior designer. In this endeavor too, he changed the face of the profession. As far back as 1969, Prem Nath was the sole visible link in the hitherto unorganized domestic interior designing sector. Today, he is one of the few designers in India who have ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) certification to practice in the United States; this professional designation is highly regarded, as is his inclusion in the International Edition of “Who’s Who in Interior Design”. One of the news channels has praised Prem Nath as “A seminal architect and a trailblazer in the field of interior decorations”. Moreover, he has had his work featured in numerous prestigious international design books, including 100 Designers’ Favorite Rooms and various editions of Great Designers of the World.

Arch. Nath is particularly experienced in the specialization of eco-friendly and energy efficient building architecture, and is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council as well as IGBC; as such, ‘Green Norms’ are adhered to in most projects.

Today, Prem Nath’s portfolio displays an abundant range of projects, from ‘Green Townships’ to luxury high-rise residential towers, landmark commercial towers, temples, lounge bars, shopping malls, multiplex theaters, schools and campuses and multitudinous industrial projects. His completed projects vary from high-end residential work for individual clients to the design and architecture of the vast 5-million square-foot IT/SEZ Park.

A consummate professional and no-nonsense architect at work, in his personal life Prem Nath is the soft-hearted patriarch of his extended family of children, their spouses, and grandchildren.
